Whether it's your first litter or your 21st, we're on hand with advice and tips. Everything from pregnancy diet to how to know when something is wrong with a pup.
We are often asked for help and advice throughout the breeding process but particularly once we have scanned a bitch in whelp. Panic stations kick in and a client wants to know “EVERYTHING” there is to know about breeding. Whilst Youtube and the internet in general is a font of knowledge there is also a lot of bad advice out there and it’s so difficult as a new breeder to shift through what’s the best advice, and which bits you should filter out.
Midway through 2020 we started to run our Puppy Natal Classes.
In an attempt to group new breeders together socially so best practice and experiences can be shared via our group Facebook page northwest breeders network and help to build a wealth of knowledge between them to keep their girls and pups safe and well during the pregnancy, whelping and rearing of the pups. We ran a number of sessions before the second covid lockdown hit us with rave reviews and great success stories from the breeders who attended.
Unfortunately, for now we are on hold with our classes but we did pull together our puppy natal packs which are to be used as a handy hints guide from pregnancy diet to how to know when something is wrong with a pup. Our guide, along with the new book by Sara Lamont Not Born yesterday, in the pack means that despite lockdown we have been able to keep supporting our new breeders from a distance.
Packs can be posted and are available to collect at £35 each.
Puppy Natal Classes from £75 dates to be confirmed.
